Adamas is a high-end acoustic guitar brand developed by Kaman Music, the same Connecticut-based company behind Ovation Guitars. Introduced in 1976 after seven years of development and 186 prototype modifications, Adamas pioneered the use of composite carbon fiber soundboards on acoustic guitars, paired with Ovation's signature roundback Lyrachord bowl. Instead of a single central rosette, Adamas guitars are recognizable by their multiple offset epaulet sound holes set into an ultra-thin top of carbon fiber laminated with birch veneer.

The brand began life as a premium series within the Ovation lineup before being marketed as its own line. Notable models include the original 1687 and 2087 deep-bowl cutaways, the Mid-Depth Contour MD80, and the U581T. Adamas also lent its name to a phosphor bronze acoustic string line developed by Kaman Music String Company, which remains in production. In 2007, Kaman Music was acquired by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, and the brand later moved under European distribution alongside Ovation.

Adamas guitars built a reputation for cutting through live mixes with a bright, articulate top end and exceptional structural stability across climates, making them favorites among touring fingerstyle and singer-songwriter players. Glen Campbell, Al Di Meola, Larry Coryell, and Kaki King are among the artists historically associated with the Ovation/Adamas roundback platform.
