Aluminati Guitar Company is a builder of aluminum-necked guitars and basses based in Asheville, North Carolina. Founded in 2009 by James Little — a former bike messenger and musician who relocated to Asheville to work in high-end bicycle component manufacturing — the company grew out of an effort to recreate the tonal character of vintage Travis Bean instruments without the crippling weight and tuning instability. Little built the first generation of Aluminati guitars in his home kitchen, eventually developing a proprietary hollow-core aluminum neck designed to be roughly as light as wood while offering increased tuning stability, sustain, and resonance.

The company's instrument lineup is built around that neck technology and includes the Helios, Nebula, Volan, Orion, and Telepath model families, spanning six-string guitars, baritones, and basses. Aluminati also sells aftermarket aluminum bolt-on necks in multiple scale lengths (24", 25.5", 27.75", 30", and 34"), along with bridges, neck plates, and replacement nuts aimed at players retrofitting existing builds. A Wingspan 6 model designed in collaboration with luthier Rick Toone and loaded with Bare Knuckle Pickups sits alongside artist-associated builds such as the Helios Kevin Scott Signature Bass.

The company emphasizes sustainable manufacturing — recycled aluminum and lucite, USA-sourced parts, hand assembly in North Carolina — and markets its instruments on the basis of low action, heel-less neck joints, the absence of neck dive, and the distinctive bell-like sustain associated with metal-necked construction. Aluminati occupies a small but distinctive niche in the boutique guitar market, often discussed alongside historical aluminum-neck builders like Travis Bean and Kramer.
