AtomoSynth is a Lima, Peru-based boutique builder of hand-made analog synthesizers and Eurorack modules. The company was founded in 2007 by Alfredo Aliaga, who has cited artists like Vangelis, Kraftwerk, Enigma, and Plastikman as early influences on his interest in electronic music. Its first instrument was the Medussa — a single-oscillator desktop unit with a built-in 8-step sequencer — which was later renamed the Mochika and remains one of the brand's signature products.
The lineup has grown to include the Koe analog synth voice (now in multiple versions and a semi-modular Koe M6 variant), the Tottem/Tottem v2 four-voice analog drum module, the Koneko MIDI-to-CV interface, the Transmon audio and CV matrix mixer, and the Mochika X5 semi-modular sequencer/synthesizer. Earlier and occasional designs have included the Krakken mini keyboard, the Abyssal Photosynth, and the Asterion modular system.
AtomoSynth's instruments tend to favor classic voltage-controlled analog architecture, hands-on patching, and compact desktop or Eurorack formats, and the company is known within the modular community as one of the few small-batch analog builders based in South America.
