Backun Musical Services is a Canadian woodwind manufacturer based in Burnaby, British Columbia, founded in 2000 by Morrie Backun. The company grew out of a family instrument repair shop and first gained attention for custom barrels made for professional clarinetists, including work for the principal clarinet of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. From that foundation, Backun expanded into full clarinet production and established itself as a specialist focused almost entirely on the clarinet world.

The brand produces a full range of B♭, A, and bass clarinets spanning student through custom professional tiers, including the Alpha and Beta student models, the Protégé intermediate, the Q Series professional, and the flagship Lumière and MoBa custom clarinets. Backun also makes the CG Carbon Clarinet, which uses a patented carbon-fiber shell bonded to a wood core, along with a broad catalog of barrels, bells, mouthpieces, reeds, and cases. From 2006 to 2010 the company co-branded a professional line with Leblanc under the "Leblanc by Backun" label, and in 2017 Eastman Music Company took a partial ownership stake, expanding manufacturing capacity and international distribution.

Backun's reputation rests heavily on its barrels and bells, which players commonly fit to clarinets from other makers to alter tone and response, and the brand is widely associated with orchestral and chamber clarinetists. David Shifrin and Jarrod Butler are among the artists who have performed on Backun instruments and contributed to product development.
