BaldMan Percussion is a boutique percussion company founded by drummers Danny Young and Mike McKee, who met on the road in 2018 and bonded over a shared interest in building unconventional instruments that bridge acoustic drumming and electronic production. The company designs hybrid percussion pieces intended to give acoustic drummers access to the glitchy, metallic, industrial textures more commonly associated with samplers and drum machines.

Their flagship product is the Junk Hat, a stacked hi-hat–style instrument built from layered metal components to produce short, trashy, 808-adjacent chain-drop tones. The line has expanded to include the Junk Hat OG, the Junk Hat 2.0, and smaller-format variants called The Big Mini (10.5") and The Mini Mini (8"), alongside a kick-pedal accessory called the Stank Foot.
