Bell & Hern Custom is a small-batch electric guitar shop operating out of Murrieta, California as the custom-build arm of vintage dealer Guitars West. The name combines its two principals: luthier Marty Bell, who designs and builds the instruments, and Gary "Big Hern" Hernandez, the longtime proprietor of Guitars West. The shop grew out of the dealership's demand for affordable bespoke instruments that played and sounded like high-end vintage pieces.

The builds lean hard into mid-century offset and double-cutaway silhouettes, finished in loud sparkle, relic'd nitro, and one-off custom paint jobs. Model names include the Detroit I, the Standard, the KushKaster, JazzCaster, and JagCaster, plus various V-shape and Jaguar-inspired variations. Specifications typically feature alder bodies with maple tops and necks, bound rosewood fingerboards, Seymour Duncan or vintage-style MK-IV humbucking pickups, and Bigsby vibratos.

Bell & Hern's output is low-volume and largely sold through the Guitars West storefront and Reverb, with each guitar carrying serial numbers and individually documented specs rather than following a fixed production line.
