Belman is an Australian guitar maker founded in Melbourne by Anthony "Tony" Bell and Craig Manger, whose shared surnames form the portmanteau behind the name. The pair met as teenagers in a secondary technical school woodworking class in 1982 and later formalized a guitar repair and custom-build business, officially launching Belman Guitars in 1994. The shop operated through 2007 out of a small workshop in Thomastown, Victoria, turning out handmade instruments with a crew of roughly five people.

The range grew from a handful of early designs to more than eighteen variations spanning electric guitars and basses, with the set-neck Albatross becoming the shop's signature model alongside the Hornet and a double-cutaway body. Belman leaned heavily on native Australian timbers — Queensland Maple was a house favorite for its mahogany-like midrange — and often paired them with hand-wound pickups made in-house. The builders also experimented with unusual finishing techniques and exotic wood choices that gave individual instruments a distinct visual character.

Belman guitars developed a loyal following among Australian players, and Albatross models previously owned by Powderfinger guitarists Ian Haug and Darren Middleton have surfaced on the secondhand market. Production ended in early 2007, and the instruments now trade primarily through Reverb and boutique Australian dealers.
