The line takes its name from the Black Country region of the West Midlands in England, where Laney has been based since the late 1960s, and the pedals are designed and handcrafted at the company's workshop in Halesowen.

The guitar lineup includes the Monolith distortion, Steelpark boost, Secret Path reverb, Spiral Array chorus, TDE stereo delay, and a Tony Iommi signature TI-Boost developed with the Black Sabbath guitarist. A separate bass-focused range includes the Blackheath distortion, the TCF compressor, and the T85 interval pedal.
