BlackSmith is a South Korean guitar string and accessory brand operated by DHP Corporation, based in the Shihwa industrial zone of Siheung City. DHP began producing fret wire in 1984 and grew into one of the largest fret wire suppliers in the industry, counting guitar manufacturers such as Gibson, Fender, Ibanez, Jackson, ESP, and Schecter among its OEM clients. The BlackSmith brand was later launched to apply the company's precision-manufacturing background to a direct-to-consumer line of strings and accessories.
