Blast Cult is a custom instrument workshop based in Orange, California, founded by Louisiana-born luthier Jason Burns, who previously built double basses under the King Doublebass name. Launched in 2011, the brand grew out of Burns's work making upright basses for rockabilly and alternative players, and expanded into electric guitars, electric basses, and a range of pickups, bridges, end pins, and upgrade parts.
