Borghino Guitars is the workshop of Italian luthier Mirko Borghino, who graduated with honors from Civica Scuola di Liuteria in Milan in 2000 and builds bespoke instruments out of his studio in Desenzano del Garda, Italy. The shop produces a small number of handcrafted acoustic, archtop, and electric guitars each year, with model lines that include the BB1 archtop, Miraggio, Shakti, The Lady, Bluesy, Suprema, Vertigo, Portoro, and Karma.

The brand has built its reputation through one-off commissions and close collaborations with players. John McLaughlin commissioned Mirko Borghino to reimagine his Shakti guitar, an instrument originally built by Abe Wechter, and other artists associated with the workshop include Franco Cerri, Francesco Buzzurro, Maurizio Brunod, Tony McManus, Eleonora Strino, and Simone Guiducci. Alongside building, Borghino teaches lutherie, and his guitars are carried by boutique dealers such as Dream Guitars and Black Mountain Guitar Co.
