Braun is a German consumer electronics company whose audio division produced a line of hi-fi equipment that became landmarks of 20th-century industrial design. Working under design chief Dieter Rams beginning in the 1950s, Braun released amplifiers, tuners, turntables, and speakers — including the SK series phonosupers, the TS-45 receiver, the Audio 1/2/250/300/310 compact systems, and the LE1 electrostatic loudspeakers — whose minimalist, functionalist aesthetic went on to influence generations of product designers. Several of these pieces are held in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
After decades away from speaker manufacturing, Braun relaunched its audio line with the LE series of wireless smart speakers: the LE01, LE02, and LE03. The range uses BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) drivers in machined aluminum cabinets and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, and Chromecast streaming, with Google Assistant integration. The LE speakers are intended as premium home hi-fi rather than studio monitors, and the visual language of the range deliberately echoes the Rams-era catalog.
Braun has 3 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Active & Passive Monitors, Turntables, and Power Amplifiers.
