Classic Amplification is a small custom-shop builder originally established as a local repair business in 1989 before launching online in 2002. The company is now based in Scotland and operates on a limited, bespoke basis, also doing business under the name BurtCo-UK.

The brand is best known for the Classic Vibe CV-2 and Vibe-Baby CV-2 pedals, all-analog, all-transistor recreations of the vintage Honey and Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe circuit, with controls for Volume, Intensity, and Speed plus a Chorus/Vibrato switch and lamp/photocell modulation. Each pedal is hand-built and tuned by ear against reference samples. The Vibe-Baby launched in 2003, with the CV-2 self-contained pedal version following in 2012.

Beyond pedals, Classic Amplification builds hand-wound replacement pickups for Rickenbacker basses (including button-top sets), wound using period-correct materials and methods on an improved bobbin core. The shop also services and repairs vintage Uni-Vibe units.
