Daguet Guitars is a French luthier shop based south of Paris, founded by Roger Daguet, who has been hand-building electric guitars and basses since 1975. Self-taught and trained in woodworking by his grandfather, a marine carpenter, Daguet built his first guitar at age 14 and later earned a BTS in design before turning lutherie into a full-time profession. He is a member of the APLG (Association des Luthiers Guitare).
The shop is known for vintage-inspired electric guitars drawing on 1960s designs, including the Crestwood Custom and Crestwood Deluxe, the Coronet 61, the Wilshire, the Teardrop "64," SG-style models, a Firebird-type V, and a Jaguar-style "DR" bass, alongside one-off custom builds. Daguet also designs and winds his own pickups, including the Dagrite D90, which he re-engineers for greater dynamics and sensitivity. While much of the work is done by hand, CNC machinery is used for repetitive tasks, with necks and final setups handled manually.
Daguet guitars have been used by Brian Molko of Placebo, Nicke Andersson of The Hellacopters, Peter Greenberg (Lyres, DMZ, Barrence Whitfield and the Savages), and Deniz Tek of Radio Birdman.
