Danny Ferrington is a master luthier known for handmade, one-of-a-kind acoustic and electric guitars. Born and raised in rural Louisiana, he apprenticed in 1975 at the Old Time Pickin' Parlour in Nashville under acoustic guitar builder Randy Wood before relocating to Santa Monica, California in 1980, where he established his workshop. His instruments are typically custom-commissioned, often featuring unconventional body shapes, inlay work, and personalized appointments tailored to each player.

Ferrington's clientele has included a wide roster of high-profile musicians such as George Harrison, Elvis Costello, Johnny Cash, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Pete Townshend, Richard Thompson, Ry Cooder, David Lindley, Kurt Cobain, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and Johnny Depp. He also built the guitar played by Captain Teague in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, serving as the film's credited guitar maker.
