Dirty Sock Effects is a boutique pedal builder based in Sydney, Australia, operated by founder Ewan, who breadboards, designs, prototypes, and assembles every pedal by hand in his workshop. The brand officially launched in 2021 with the Black One distortion/fuzz, growing out of years of hobbyist tinkering with audio electronics. Alongside small-batch and custom builds, the workshop also takes on amp and pedal repairs and restorations.

The lineup leans toward fuzz and dirt with a quirky, vintage-leaning character. Notable pedals include the Transistoriser, a fuzz drawing on '60s designs like the Shin-Ei FY-2 and Mosrite Fuzzrite; the Nonagon Fuzz, a modified take on the Torn's Peaker circuit; and the Dot/Matrix.
