Dorrough Electronics is an American audio metering and signal processing company founded by Michael L. Dorrough and based in Woodland Hills, California. The company is best known for its distinctive "eyebrow" scale Loudness Meters, introduced with the Model 40 in 1980, which simultaneously display peak and average levels to give engineers a visual representation of program density and true perceived loudness. Dorrough is also credited with pioneering multi-band audio processing through the Discriminate Audio Processor (DAP), developed in the early 1970s.

The product line spans analog and digital loudness monitors for stereo and surround applications, including models such as the 40-A, 40-A2, 40-AES/EBU, 12-C, 240-D, 280-D, 340-D, and 380-D, along with video and test measurement tools aimed at broadcast, post-production, and mastering facilities. Dorrough's metering ballistics have also been licensed to Waves Audio, which produces the Dorrough Stereo and Dorrough Surround plugin collections modeled on the hardware.

The company's meters have earned industry recognition including a Technical Achievement Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, an Emmy from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and an NAB Radio Engineering Achievement Award, and remain fixtures in broadcast control rooms, film dub stages, and recording studios.
