Dowina is a Slovak acoustic guitar maker based in Bratislava, with roots in a violin workshop founded by Stanislav Petko Marinov in Devin Village in 1979. Guitar production began in 2003 after Marinov returned from studies in Asia, drawing on violin-making traditions to inform body construction, wood selection, and tonal tuning. The factory moved to Bratislava in 2010, and Marinov's daughter Erika joined the company in 2015, helping push production further toward all-solid, high-end builds and bespoke custom orders.

The brand's catalog spans the Master, Vintage, Antique, Hybrid, Bona Vida, Time Travel, NU Vintage, and Delights series, alongside the Aura concept guitar introduced in 2022, which uses an unconventional body-to-neck joint.
