Earthboard, a product of Rare Earth Music LLC, is a Salt Lake City, Utah-based company founded by Mark Bradley and Kym Bradley. The company manufactures what it describes as the world's first magnetically powered pedalboard system for guitar and bass effects pedals. Made in the USA and veteran-owned, Earthboard's patented design uses rare earth magnets and an aluminum rail system to secure and power pedals without traditional power cables or velcro, eliminating cable clutter and reducing electrical noise.
The core of the system is the Gravity Boot, a magnetic tray that docks each pedal onto powered rails, delivering 9V DC through the connection itself. A rechargeable battery eliminates the need for wall adapters entirely. For pedals requiring 12V or 18V, an optional ISO Boot provides isolated, voltage-converted power. The lineup includes the EBII, a double-row board accommodating up to 11 standard-size pedals, and the EBII-SR, a more compact single-row board for up to 5 pedals. Accessories include Boot Tethers, standard 1.2Amp and 2.4Amp XL rechargeable batteries, and LED lighting kits.
Earthboard has gained traction among professional guitarists, with users including Elliot Easton of The Cars, session guitarist and Van Morrison collaborator John Platania, and Greg Karas, lead guitarist for Andy Grammer. The boards have been featured at NAMM and covered by publications including Guitar World, Premier Guitar, and Gearnews.
