Electromate is an Argentine builder of analog effects pedals, with origins in Buenos Aires. The company grew out of an earlier brand, Sonomatic, whose workshop was based in the Villa Devoto neighborhood, and the operation expanded into a broader catalog of stompboxes aimed at guitar, bass, and other electrified instruments. Its pedals lean on traditional analog circuit design and hand-built construction.
Among Electromate's better-known releases are the Ringo, an overdrive inspired by the Klon Centaur that can be used as a transparent boost or pushed into harder mid-forward saturation, and the King Vegas, an analog-voiced delay. The brand became one of the more recognizable boutique pedal makers in Argentina, and its founders later relocated operations to Miami, Florida, where they continue building effects under the name Matero Effects.
