Enormous Door is an Austin, Texas-based operation founded by Jack Control, a mastering engineer and musician known for his work in punk and metal bands Severed Head of State and World Burns to Death. Established in 2009 as a recording and mastering studio, the brand expanded into effects pedals with a dedicated division designed and built by Joe Anastasio. The pedal line featured hand-built, USA-made stompboxes using premium components like NOS transistors and Burr Brown op amps, with models spanning overdrive, distortion, and fuzz categories.
