Epigaze Audio is a boutique guitar effects pedal company founded by Josh Alley in 2013 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Alley, who studied graphic design in college and taught himself electronics, built the brand around a philosophy of simplicity and hand-built craftsmanship. In 2016, Tailored FX — a separate pedal venture started by Arthur Ingraham — merged into Epigaze Audio, bringing with it the Civic Crown Overdrive circuit design. All Epigaze pedals are hand-wired in the USA with true bypass switching.

The company's lineup spans drive, fuzz, reverb, ambient, and utility categories. The Earthrise series (including the Earthrise VIII and the more versatile Earthrise XI) covers overdrive territory, while the Singularity is a germanium-transistor fuzz inspired by the classic Tone Bender circuit. The Civic Crown Overdrive draws on Tube Screamer and Bluesbreaker lineages with a 3-band EQ and internal DIP switches for bass boost and headroom adjustments. On the ambient side, the Ascension Reverb offers Hall, Shimmer, and Tremolo+Reverb modes along with a built-in drone generator, and the Grammatika Ambiance Engine blends ambient pads and drones beneath the guitar signal with MIDI control and an on-board library of pad sounds. The Neutrino Quark rounds out the catalog as a buffer and boost pedal.

Epigaze Audio donates a portion of all sales to support adoption and foster care. The brand's space-themed visual identity — reflected in product names like Singularity, Ascension, and Neutrino — ties back to a logo symbolizing Earth, humanity, and the outward pursuit of knowledge.
