Fisher Electronics was an American audio equipment manufacturer founded in 1945 by Avery Fisher in New York City, originally under the name Fisher Radio Corporation. The company helped pioneer the high-fidelity audio industry in the United States and is often credited as one of the first to introduce separate, modular audio components, moving the market away from single-chassis console systems. During the vacuum-tube era of the 1950s and 1960s, Fisher gear — marketed as 'The Fisher' — earned a reputation alongside H.H. Scott, Marantz, Harman Kardon, and McIntosh as some of the finest hi-fi equipment available.

The brand's catalog centered on integrated amplifiers, tuners, receivers, and loudspeakers. Emerson Electric acquired Fisher in 1969 and later sold it to Sanyo of Japan in 1975. The Fisher lineup was progressively rebranded under Sanyo through 2000, and the name effectively disappeared when Panasonic absorbed Sanyo in 2011. Original Fisher tube-era gear remains actively traded on the used market and is a mainstay of vintage hi-fi restoration circles.
