The parent company traces its roots to 1958 as a dental laboratory, applied that ear-impression and acrylic-shell expertise to hearing aids beginning in 1985, and launched the FitEar custom earmold business in the early 2000s under founder Keita Suyama. The brand's custom IEMs are built from individual ear impressions in the same workshop that produces its medical-grade hearing devices.
