Flying Teapot is a boutique guitar effects pedal brand based in Fukushima, Japan, run by builder Manabu Kanno (菅野 学). The small, hand-built operation focuses on preamp, overdrive, distortion, and fuzz designs, often drawing inspiration from classic tube amplifier voicings.
The lineup includes the 59 Preamp (Mk2), which evokes the sound of a vintage 4-input tweed amp in pedal form, along with the Deluxe Preamp Tweed and Deluxe Preamp Black, the 200 PIGs preamp/overdrive/distortion, the Omega Drive transparent overdrive, the TubeFeeder preamp, and the 4K Preamp buffer. On the gain side there are the Rum and Coke Fuzz (offered in RED, GREEN, and BLUE variants), the Monolith Fuzz, the Shredinger Distortion, and the Pleiades Hysteric Overdrive, while the Eureka Analog Delay, Reindeer RDD-2, and Fcon-V studio-style compressor round out the catalog.
Pedals are produced in small batches with serialized enclosures and are distributed primarily through the brand's own BASE-powered webshop and Japanese retailers such as Ishibashi and Digimart, with secondary-market availability on Reverb. Flying Teapot is frequently grouped with other small-scale Japanese boutique builders in the contemporary pedal scene.
Flying Teapot has 2 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Amp & Cabinet Simulators and Overdrive Effects Pedals.
