FYD Amps is a boutique amplifier builder based in South Burlington, Vermont, founded by Dan Lurie. A lifelong guitarist and tinkerer who caught the electronics bug at age 10, Lurie spent years in the corporate world before transitioning to full-time amp building and repair. FYD specializes in handwired tube amplifiers and also offers tube amp repair, service, and modification for all brands.

The FYD lineup includes the Big Verb, a 5-watt combo with a 10" Eminence Lil' Buddy speaker and lush spring reverb; the Deluxe Reverb, featuring a proprietary "Tweed" switch that bypasses the tone stack for vintage-era tones; the Town & Country, which can switch between blackface and tweed-style preamp voicings; and the Lurie 19 D&K, an 18-watt EL84-powered head inspired by the Marshall 18-watt circuit with Matchless Lightning influences. FYD also builds the TRP (Twin Reverb Preamp), a handwired 2RU rackmount preamp based on the reverb channel of a Blackface Twin Reverb, which has earned a devoted following among Grateful Dead fans chasing Jerry Garcia's signature tone. All FYD amplifiers are built to order, one at a time, and the company also takes on fully custom builds to customer specifications.
