The company traces its roots to Rockinger, a brand Gölsdorf launched in 1978 that earned a reputation for innovation — producing the world's first electric guitar and bass kits, the first humbucker-sized P90 pickup, and the first fine-tuning/locking tremolo system. When Rockinger wound down, Gölsdorf channeled that expertise into göldo music, pivoting from selling directly to musicians to serving guitar retailers and luthiers worldwide.
