G. Gould Music is a small-batch builder of basses and guitars founded by Geoff Gould in 1996, based in San Francisco, California. Before launching the company, Gould served as founder and president of Modulus Graphite for nearly two decades, where he developed the graphite neck for stringed instruments (U.S. patent #4,145,948) and pioneered the 35-inch scale length on production basses to improve clarity and tension on the low B string of five- and six-string instruments.

The company specializes in hand-made, custom-ordered electric basses and guitars built in limited numbers, often featuring graphite-reinforced or composite construction that draws on Gould's earlier research. Alongside the instruments, G.
