Grimshaw Guitars was a British instrument maker founded in 1933 by banjo player Emile Grimshaw and his son in the United Kingdom. Initially established to sell banjos built by Robert Blake of Finchley, London, the company opened its own guitar-making workshop by 1940 and built a reputation for high-quality instruments. Early models were branded Revelation, Hartford, or Premiervox, with the Grimshaw name appearing on instruments after Emile Sr.'s death in 1943.

The company is credited with pioneering electric guitar manufacturing in the UK, introducing the Plectric archtop in 1948 with a neck-mounted pickup designed to reduce body vibration interference. Grimshaw produced acoustic and electrified archtops, semi-solid thinline electrics, and from 1959 onward solidbody electric guitars beginning with the Meteor model. Through the 1960s the company drew on Gibson and Fender designs, while the 1970s brought more original designs such as the GS30. The catalog also included banjos, Hawaiian guitars, electric basses, and nylon-string acoustics.

Grimshaw instruments were used by a number of notable British players during the late 1950s and 1960s, including Bruce Welch of The Shadows, Tony Sheridan, Marty Wilde, Joe Brown, and session guitarist Joe Moretti. Pete Townshend of The Who briefly used a three-pickup Grimshaw Short Scale semi-hollow guitar in late 1965 and early 1966. The company ceased mainstream trading around 1980, with limited repair and refurbishment work continuing under former staff into the early 1990s.
