Heit was a brand name applied to Japanese-made guitars imported into the United States during the late 1960s and early 1970s by G&H Imports of Lodi, New Jersey. The instruments — sold under both the Heit and Heit Deluxe names — were built in Japan by Teisco (then owned by Kawai), and many models share clear design DNA with Teisco Del Rey guitars of the same era.

The catalog covered electric guitars, bass guitars, and acoustic guitars, with the electric line drawing heavily on Mosrite-inspired body shapes alongside more conventional solidbody designs. Notable models include the Heit Deluxe V-2, the Heit Deluxe 2PL/2TPL solidbodies, and a range of multi-pickup electrics with built-in tremolos, often finished in sunburst or solid colors. A violin-shaped "DLUXE" model produced around 1965 also turns up in the vintage market.

Production wound down in the early 1970s along with the broader wave of Japanese-built department-store and budget-import brands of the period. Surviving Heit and Heit Deluxe instruments are now treated as collectible vintage pieces and trade primarily through used and vintage gear channels rather than as new production.
