Helpinstill is a Houston, Texas-based manufacturer of electromagnetic piano pickup systems, founded by Charles Helpinstill. The company's first unit was sold to Elton John in 1972, and its pickups became widely used on touring stages throughout the 1970s by acts such as Billy Joel and Barry Manilow. The design uses long electromagnetic bar pickups that attach to a piano's iron frame with magnets and clamps, sensing string vibrations directly and virtually eliminating feedback from stage volume.

The core product line consists of magnetic pickup systems for grand and upright acoustic pianos, including the passive Models 120, 125, 180, 135, 280, and 240. Installation on a grand typically takes around fifteen minutes with no drilling, screws, or adhesives. Between 1977 and 1980, Helpinstill also produced portable pianos: the Roadmaster 88 and 64 uprights built into aluminum flight cases, and the Portable Grand, an 88-note baby grand that separated into keyboard and harp sections.
