Hughes Audio Products was an American consumer and pro-audio brand best known for the AK-100 Sound Retrieval System (SRS), a two-channel stereo image processor released in the late 1980s. The SRS technology was developed by Arnold Klayman and is built around head-related transfer function principles, widening the perceived stereo field without time delay, artificial reverb, or harmonic generation. It became a staple outboard unit in home studios and mastering rooms through the 1990s as a way to add spaciousness and three-dimensional cues to mixes using only two speakers.

The AK-100 was originally built with discrete components and was later licensed into consumer electronics, automotive audio, and television products under the SRS branding. Engineers occasionally ran individual instruments or submixes through the unit to create a wider, more open image, and modified versions were offered by third parties such as Audio by Van Alstine. Outside of the AK-100 the brand has a limited catalog, and the underlying SRS technology eventually moved on under the SRS Labs name.
