Humanoid FX is a boutique guitar and bass effects builder based in Raleigh, North Carolina, founded in the summer of 2022 by Bill Tallitsch. The company builds its pedals by hand using audio-grade components, with a focus on overdrive, fuzz, and distortion circuits.

The lineup includes the Entity, a germanium preamp overdrive with two stages of clipping using different diode types; the Goblin, a multi-stage preamp/boost/overdrive/fuzz/distortion built around a pair of BC108C or BC109C NPN silicon transistors; and the Psychosis, which pairs a preamp voiced after the Fender tweed 5E3 Deluxe with an all-discrete JFET signal path and onboard tremolo.
