Hylight Electronics is a London-based manufacturer of hand-wired guitar and bass amplifiers and effects pedals. The brand traces its origins to 1966, when British audio engineer David Reeves — who trained at Marconi Electronics and Mullard — registered the Hylight name, inspired by a friend's band called "The Hylights." Under Reeves, Hylight manufactured amplifiers for Ivor Arbiter's Sound City music stores before producing amps under the Hiwatt name, which became synonymous with high-headroom British amplification and was favored by artists including Pink Floyd, The Who, and The Rolling Stones. The modern incarnation of Hylight Electronics was established in London in 2018 by Andrei Nicula, operating independently from Hiwatt and the Reeves family.

The company produces three amplifier lines — the Vintage Reissue Series, Generation X Series, and Bass Rebel Series — alongside matching speaker cabinets. All amplifiers are point-to-point hand-wired using military-spec construction methods and high-grade English-made transformers, with no PCBs or machine soldering. Their effects pedal range includes the HyFuzz MK I and MK II fuzz pedals, the GENX MK I (which adds a filter control), and three designs by Gary Hurst, the inventor of the legendary 1960s Tone Bender: the Fuzz Man, Octave Fuzzer, and Phaser MK II. Like the amplifiers, all pedals are built by hand using point-to-point wiring in the tradition of 1960s British effects manufacturing.
