Idiopan is an American maker of tunable steel tongue drums founded by musician Bret Hutchinson in 2010. Inspired by Dennis Havlena's tank drum, Hutchinson set out to design a tongue drum capable of producing pure, sine-wave-like tones and developed a magnet-based tuning system that allows players to retune individual tongues across hundreds of scales. He later partnered with Max Kundrat of Mid-East Mfg. (now EnSoul Music Designs) to scale up production into a full instrument line.

The lineup centers on hand-crafted, powder-coated steel drums offered in a range of sizes and tunings, including the 12-inch Domina, the 14-inch Dominus, the Dual Tone, and the multi-octave Domina Pro, alongside smaller 6-inch and 8-inch models. Acoustic and pickup-equipped electric versions are available, and the magnet system lets the same instrument cover major, minor, pentatonic, and various world-music scales without re-machining the tongues.
