Industrial Strength Records is a New York-based hardcore techno label and sample pack producer founded by DJ and producer Lenny Dee in 1991. Born out of the early Brooklyn rave scene, it is widely cited as the first dedicated hardcore electronic label in the United States and helped define the distinctly American take on hardcore, gabber, and related hard-electronic styles alongside European counterparts. The label's debut 12-inch, PCP's 'Mescalinium United,' set the template for the ISR sound and put the imprint on the international hardcore map.
Alongside its record releases, Industrial Strength operates a sound design arm that produces sample packs, one-shots, loops, and synth presets for music producers. Its catalog covers hardcore, hard techno, gabber, industrial techno, drum and bass, and adjacent electronic genres, and is distributed through platforms such as Loopmasters, Loopcloud, Producer Loops, and Big Fish Audio. Content is typically delivered across WAV, Kontakt, Serum, MIDI, and other common DAW formats.
The label's roster and sample pack collaborators have included artists associated with the hardcore and hard techno scenes such as Lenny Dee, Delta 9, Unexist, Manu Le Malin, Disciples of Annihilation, and Rob Gee.
Industrial Strength has 598 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Hard Dance - General, Techno - General, and Hardcore. Their gear is featured by 2 artists, with the strongest followings in Pop, Electronic, and Rock. Notable users include David Guetta and John Linnell.
