JamHub, founded in 2008 by Steve Skillings and Veronica Pierni, is a Whitinsville, Massachusetts-based company that pioneered the concept of "silent rehearsal studios" for musicians. The idea originated when Skillings, an engineer and working musician, realized there was no device that let a group of musicians plug in their instruments and jam together quietly through headphones. After prototyping and filing patents, Skillings and his wife launched the company, debuting their products just before the 2008 financial crisis.
JamHub's core product line consists of three silent rehearsal studio models — the BedRoom (5 sections for up to 4 musicians), the GreenRoom (7 sections for up to 6 musicians), and the TourBus (7 sections with built-in SD card recording). Each model allows musicians to plug in instruments and microphones, then use JamHub's patented SoleMix interface to create their own independent headphone monitor mix. The systems include a built-in effects engine with reverbs, delays, and modulation effects. The company also produced the Tracker MT16, a portable 16-channel multitrack recorder capable of capturing 24-bit/96kHz audio, which integrates directly with JamHub studios to record each musician's section as an independent file.
JamHub has 3 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Mixers, Powered Mixers, and Digital.
