Kauffmann is a Dutch maker of vintage-inspired electric guitars and amplifiers based in Alphen aan de Rijn, Netherlands. Founded in 2010 by Albert Deinum, who also operates Kauffmann's Guitar Store, the company hand-builds instruments in a small workshop with an emphasis on broken-in feel, aged finishes, and traditional vintage voicings.
The guitar line spans several series modeled on classic mid-century body shapes, including the S-Model and T-Model bolt-on electrics, the SC-Model single-cut, the offset-bodied JM and JG variants, and the Cozy Model family. Each instrument is set up and personally played by Deinum before leaving the workshop. The company also builds tube amplifiers under the Kauffmann name, including the Mark One, the 5881-driven Silverado, and the Super 6.
Deinum, sometimes credited in press as Albert Kauffmann, has gained recognition for his relicing and aging techniques. Eastman Guitars partnered with him on the Eastman Kauffmann Series, a line of roasted-pine-bodied solidbodies built in the Netherlands using his signature aging treatments and equipped with Lollar pickups.
Kauffmann has 2 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Solid Body Electric Guitars.
