Launhardt is a German guitar maker founded in 1993 by luthier Tom Launhardt (1963–2016), who trained under Dieter Hopf. The workshop was originally based in Wetzlar, later moving to Ehringshausen and finally Leun, producing handcrafted classical, acoustic, archtop jazz, and solidbody electric guitars. The brand was initially known as Launhardt & Kobs before being renamed to Launhardt in 1999, with most instruments bearing the 'LUK' headstock logo.

In 2006, the company introduced a more affordable line of Korean-made instruments in collaboration with AER, branded 'Tom Launhardt AER' and later simply 'Tom Launhardt.' This range includes Fender-style solidbody models such as the ST61 and ST612 Stratocaster-style guitars and the TC61 Telecaster-style guitar. The higher-end workshop-built instruments are regarded for their acoustic and archtop craftsmanship, while the Tom Launhardt-branded electrics have circulated widely on the European used market.
