Lightning Boy Audio (LBA) is a boutique audio electronics manufacturer based in North Collins, New York, about 45 minutes south of Buffalo. Founded in 2011 by Mike Congilosi II — who holds a Master of Music in Studio Production from SUNY Purchase College — the company designs and hand-builds vacuum tube-powered studio gear, guitar and bass effect pedals, and audio transformers. Congilosi's electronics expertise is largely self-taught, developed through years of repairing amplifiers and effects, with mentorship on transformer design from his late uncle, who worked for Tung-Sol vacuum tubes in the 1950s.

LBA's product line spans professional studio equipment and instrument-level gear. On the studio side, offerings include the Dark Storm microphone preamplifier, Sun Storm optical compressor, Super Storm MKII 500-series preamp, Eye of Jupiter 500-series re-amping DI box, and the Flux Bender stereo passive vacuum tube equalizer. For guitarists and bassists, the lineup includes the Thunder Knob high-voltage 12AX7 tube drive, the modular Lightning Boy II tube overdrive, the Soul Drive, the Op-2 Comp compressor, and the NuVision. The company also manufactures audio transformers like the 2020S Instrument Transformer and the 23Fe+.
