Lotus Pedal Designs is a boutique guitar effects company founded in 2009 by Sean Erspamer in Duluth, Minnesota. Erspamer spent over a decade as an electronics technician at Crane Song LTD, a respected pro audio manufacturer, while also working as a musician and live sound engineer. After years of searching for his ideal guitar tones in off-the-shelf boutique pedals and coming up short, he began designing his own circuits.

The brand is built around a function-over-form philosophy that stands in deliberate contrast to the flashy aesthetics common in the boutique pedal market.
