Lucid is a professional audio brand created in 1997 as a division of Symetrix, Inc., the signal processing company founded by Dane Butcher in 1976 and headquartered in the Seattle, Washington area. Conceived to serve the computer-based digital recording market, Lucid focused on high-fidelity analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters as well as master clock generators for recording studios, mastering facilities, post-production houses, and broadcast environments.
