Mid-East is a Florida-based maker and importer of world and ethnic musical instruments, founded in 1973 by Alice and Steve as a small operation producing affordable finger cymbals (zills) for belly-dance students. The business expanded over the decades into a broad catalog of hand-crafted and imported instruments, operating out of an 18,000 square foot facility in West Melbourne, Florida. The legal entity, Mid-East Mfg., Inc., does business as EnSoul Music Designs.
