Mission Engineering is a pedal and pro audio company founded by James LeBihan in 2009 in Petaluma, California. The company launched with the SP-1, a switching expression pedal designed for digital amps and effects processors, and has since grown into one of the most recognized names in expression and volume pedal design. Mission Engineering manufactures what it describes as the world's largest range of professional expression and volume pedals, with models engineered for compatibility with platforms from Fractal Audio, Kemper, Line 6, Eventide, and others. The company also produces the Expressionator, a programmable multi-expression controller that can store pedal positions per channel and switch between passive expression and +5V CV output for use with synths and modular gear.

Beyond pedals, Mission Engineering builds the Gemini line of full-range amplified speakers designed for use with digital modelers and software-based guitar systems, as well as the 529 series of rechargeable USB-powered pedalboard power supplies. In 2015, the company acquired Stagecraft, adding a cabinet-building facility in St. Peters, Missouri, where speaker and amplifier cabinets are manufactured for Mission and other boutique amp builders. The company also partnered with Sunn Amplification to revive the legendary Sunn brand.

Mission Engineering's flagship EP-1 expression pedal, built on an all-metal chassis with a sealed linear potentiometer, has become an industry staple among professional guitarists. Notable users of Mission Engineering pedals include John Petrucci, Dan Auerbach, Robert Trujillo of Metallica, Misha Mansoor of Periphery, Ben Burnley of Breaking Benjamin, and Dustin Kensrue of Thrice. Guitarist Chris Broderick has a signature special edition expression pedal with the company.
