Founded by Matt Gleeson in 2010, Monty's Guitars is a British boutique workshop specializing in handmade guitar and bass pickups. Gleeson began his career as an apprentice at the renowned Chandler's guitar shop in London, where he spent a decade honing his craft before launching Monty's — initially from a spare bedroom, funded by selling his motorbike. The company operated out of Acton, West London before relocating to Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Monty's is best known for its award-winning PAF humbucker replicas, developed through years of studying hundreds of vintage guitars. The pickup range spans several series: the Originals (faithful vintage recreations), Retro Wind (vintage voicing with modern enhancements), Full Monty (higher-output vintage-flavored designs), Leviathan (high-gain pickups), and Turncoat (hybrid designs like P90s in humbucker housings). The company also offers signature pickups developed in collaboration with Bill Steer of Carcass, 'Danish' Pete Honoré, Dan Steinhardt of That Pedal Show, and session guitarist Robbie McIntosh.
