Nice-Racks is a one-person operation based in East Sandwich, Massachusetts, founded in 1997 by David Tatelbaum, who builds handmade studio equipment racks for home and professional recording studios. The shop produces 19" rackmount furniture in configurations ranging from 2U up to 12U, including slanted variants, designed to house outboard preamps, compressors, converters, and other rackmount gear.

Each rack is constructed from solid pine using pocket-hole joinery rather than particle board, fitted with steel rails finished in black powder coat, and stained by hand using Minwax finishes. Customers can specify rack depth (12", 14", 16", or 17.25") and choose from a wide selection of wood stains, with optional casters and handles. The catalog also includes hardwood blank rack panels in cherry, maple, walnut, mahogany, ash, and wenge, as well as vinyl record storage crates for 45s and LPs.

The brand sells direct through its own site, an Etsy storefront, and Reverb, and has built a reputation in home-studio communities like Gearspace for affordable, furniture-grade alternatives to mass-produced metal studio racks.

Nice-Racks has 3 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Studio Equipment Racks.
