Puremagnetik is a Brooklyn-based instrument and sound design company founded in 2006 by electronic artist and composer Micah Frank. The company first established itself as a sound library house, creating Ableton Live Packs, Kontakt instruments and Logic sample libraries — early work that included collaborations with Ableton AG in Berlin. Its catalog spans analog and digital synth samples, drum kits, keyboards and ambient soundscapes aimed at producers working across electronic and experimental genres.

Since 2016, Puremagnetik has developed its own audio plugins using the open-source Csound language, releasing a line of synthesizers, granular processors, spectral tools and tape-inspired effects such as Pastfabric and the Strata particle tape loop device. The company also produces hardware instruments — including the touch-sensitive Etches loopscape synthesizer — and operates an experimental and ambient music label launched in 2018 that issues releases on tape, vinyl and digital formats.
