QasarBeach is a software recreation of the Fairlight CMI IIx, the Australian-made digital sampler and workstation from the late 1970s and early 1980s that shaped records by Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, and Art of Noise. The project is developed by a single author, AdamStrange, and distributed through itch.io on a "name your price" model for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

The flagship product, QasarBeach CMI IIz, reproduces the original CMI user interface and command-line workflow rather than emulating the hardware at a circuit level. It offers 16 stereo voices, harmonic additive synthesis, the full Page R pattern sequencer, and the CMI's distinctive light-pen-style waveform editing. It reads and writes Fairlight Series I, II, IIx, and III sample files including loop points and filter settings, and also imports a wide range of other sampler formats and standard audio files.

The software is maintained as a hobby-scale but actively updated project, and has built a following among vintage-sampling enthusiasts on forums such as Gearspace, KVR Audio, and Vintage Synth Explorer. It has been reviewed by Tape Op Magazine as a faithful desktop reimagining of the Fairlight experience.
