Raffaele Maratea was a Neapolitan luthier active around the turn of the 20th century, specializing in the construction of bowl-back (Neapolitan) mandolins. The son of Michele Maratea and part of the Maratea family workshop, he trained in the Vinaccia tradition that defined Naples as the center of mandolin making during the 1890s–1930s era. He operated from a workshop at 40 Vico Portapiccola Montecalvario in Naples and was awarded a diploma of honor at the 1898 Universal Exhibition in Turin.

Maratea is best known for his concert mandolins, including ribbed and fluted-back models, many of which were exported to France under the brand name "La Divina." His instruments display the ornate inlays, scalloped tortoiseshell pickguards, and refined ribbed bowl construction characteristic of high-end Neapolitan work of the period. Surviving examples occasionally surface in the vintage market through dealers and on Reverb, where they are valued by collectors and players of period mandolin repertoire.
