RPS Effects is a boutique pedal manufacturer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, founded by Ryan Sarver. Though Sarver has been building pedals since 2009, RPS Effects officially launched in 2018 with a lineup of original, hand-built designs. Their flagship pedal, the Arcade Machine, is a PLL-based analog synthesizer and harmonizer that re-synthesizes an instrument's signal as a square wave, offering six voices across multiple octaves and a selectable interval from the full 12-tone scale — a feature RPS claims is unique among analog harmonizers. It also supports expression pedal and control voltage input for interval selection, as well as programmable note sequences.
